All students including students who live off campus wishing to park on campus must register their vehicle(s) with 公共安全 during the first week of the semester. 登记 在网上完成 www.permitsales.net/wc. You must then go to 公共安全 and pick up your parking sticker. Proof of registration is required when registering a vehicle. We will accept a photo 车辆的’s license plate or the actual registration card from the vehicle’s glovebox. 如果 a student brings a vehicle to campus at a later date, the student must register it with 公共安全 within three (3) class days. The registration fee is $80.  

学生 registration decals are valid for one academic year; consequently, all vehicles must be registered each year. Current information is required and it is your responsibility to update your vehicle information with 公共安全. Failure to do so could result 很好.  

Only students who are full-time employees and part-time students, as verified by the Registrar’s Office, are allowed 教师/工作人员 parking permits. 1782张停车许可证 are not to be used by students.

 

All vehicles must be parked in a lined parking space. 学生 parking spaces are lined but not marked as reserved. 教师/工作人员 parking areas are off limits to students 周一至周五，上午8点.m.–3 p.m. 学生们 free to use the 教师/工作人员 spaces before 8 a.m. 3点以后.m. and all day on weekends and holidays. This does not include the 教师/工作人员 spaces behind Health Services, which are off limits at all times to anyone other than Health Services staff members. There is no student parking near academic buildings on campus or in the loading dock area behind Hodson Hall.  

The lack of a convenient parking space is NOT an excuse for violating 停车规定. Vehicles are considered parked when left unattended, with or without flashers on. If a registered vehicle is loaned to another person and a traffic citation is issued, the registered owner is responsible for the payment.  

Permits are not transferrable. Any student exchanging their 8590海洋之神官网 registration permit is subject to having their on-campus parking privileges suspended.

 If a student vehicle becomes disabled, it is the student’s responsibility to notify 公共安全 of the details. Failure to do so will not be a valid excuse for violating 停车规定.

 

Off-campus students who drive to campus must register with 公共安全 and obtain a WC parking permit in order to secure campus parking privileges. 登记 在网上完成 www.permitsales.net/wc. Once registered, off-campus students can park in student/open spaces. 学生们 responsible for abiding by all local statutes regarding off-campus parking.

 

Resident Assistants will have reserved parking spaces in the vicinity of their assigned 宿舍. These spaces are strictly limited to authorized vehicles with Resident Assistant Parking Permits. All others in these spaces will be ticketed. RA的必须 网上登记: www.permitsales.net/wc and display both a current registration sticker and RA hang tag. 

 

All vehicles on campus must be registered. Parking spaces marked “访问ors” are reserved for official guests of the College only. If you have a friend or family member who will be visiting campus, please stop by the 公共安全 Office to obtain a visitor 通过. You will need your student ID as well as vehicle information (make, model, tag number) for your visitor. These 通过es are issued free of charge and allow your visitor to park in any open student space. Temporary vehicle 通过es are issued to students, faculty, and staff who will have a vehicle on campus for a limited period of time.

Non-student visitors who are attending a show or event on campus are not required to obtain a visitor parking 通过. However, parents of students are encouraged to obtain a visitor 通过 when visiting campus. If a parent or guest receives a parking citation they believe is in error, please have them contact 公共安全.

On-campus handicapped parking permits, either long or short term, are available through the Department of 公共安全. A letter from a health care provider or from the College’s Health Services may be required. Vehicles in handicap parking space must display both a current registration sticker and valid handicap permit.

If you find the need to park in the community surrounding the campus, please follow posted signs indicating the town’s 停车规定 and the Residential Parking 允许区域. 

Currently, there are parking restrictions imposed by the Town of Chestertown along the south curb of Campus Avenue, both sides of Mt. Vernon Avenue, and Greenwood Avenue, as well as the north curb of Brown Street. These areas are designated for Chestertown Resident Parking only. Non-resident vehicles parked on these streets will be in violation of local ordinances and subject to enforcement. The College has no authority over these spaces and cannot intercede with town authorities on behalf of individuals who park illegally and receive citations. Additional restrictions may be imposed in the future, and the Town of Chestertown will post any such restrictions.

8590海洋之神官网 is not responsible for damage that may occur to vehicles while 停在校园内. This damage includes (but is not limited to) foul ball strikes or objects cast by lawn mowers. Reports of damage can be made with 公共安全, and reports will be given to the vehicle owner upon request.

公共安全 Officers will issue a citation to any vehicle parked in violation of 规定. An appeal that states that the vehicle was only parked for two minutes, 五分钟，等等. is not considered valid.

 

It typically requires a few minutes to locate a parking space within the campus parking 系统. It is suggested that faculty, staff, and students plan their schedules so there is sufficient time to find and park 在法律空间里.

 

Parking spaces in certain areas are limited, and the campus parking 系统 does not guarantee a space in a specific lot. 教师, staff, students, and visitors must park 在法律空间里.

 

With the exception of the beginning and end of the semester, parking illegally next to a building to load or unload is not a valid excuse.

 

It is the driver’s responsibility to comply with all posted signage, notices, and 标线. A map is available on the 公共安全 webpage.

 

Four-way flashers are designed to warn other motorists that a vehicle may be a hazard. Use of four-way flashers does not allow you to park illegally for any period of time.
